Most of Android device has limited internal storage. This internal storage usually get filled up fast only by installing just a few application. After Froyo version, Android allow application to be moved to sdcard to help increase the internal storage, but unfortunately it usually still leave the application dex file in the internal storage dalvik-cache. This dex file can be big.
We can increase the internal storage free space more by moving the application dalvik-cache to external storage, in the same place the application recide after we perform move to SDcard.
If your Android device is rooted, you can use APP2SD to move the dalvik-cache to external storage. But not anyone want to root their phone. Thankfully, you can use adb to manually move an application dalvik-cache to external storage / sdcard.
This guide will also let you know if it is possible to move the application dalvik-cache. Not all application dalvik-cache can be moved. We can only move it if the application private storage in the external dsk (sdcard) has enough free space.
